The United Nations defines violence from women as "any act of gender-dependent violence that brings about, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual, or mental harm or struggling to Girls, which includes threats of such functions, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of liberty, regardless of whether happening in community or in private lifestyle." (1) Personal spouse violence refers to behaviour by an intimate partner or ex-associate that causes physical, sexual or psychological harm, including Bodily aggression, sexual coercion, psychological abuse and managing behaviours. Sexual violence is "any sexual act, try to attain a sexual act, or other act directed against anyone’s sexuality employing coercion, by anyone in spite of their partnership towards the target, in almost any placing.
