Author Biography

Jose Manuel Marrero Henríquez, Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

José Manuel Marrero Henríquez is poet, writer, essayist, and tenured professor of Comparative Literature and Literary Theory at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Author of the book of poems Landscapes with Donkey / Paisajes con burro (Green Writers Press, 2018), he has recently published the volume of short stories entitled Escritos antibélicos [Antiwar Writings] that came out after the Russian invasion of Ukraine with the desire of giving a literary and social chance to peace. About to be published by Baile del Sol in 2023, the short stories of Escritos antivíricos [Antiviral Writings] transcend the everyday life of a family in pandemic circumstances and critically face a digital and carbonized world biologically and semantically polluted.
