Abstract

The project presents a photographic sequence which describes the hybrid ecosystems of ponds, pools, and mud, where plants grow through the stagnation of water.

Author Biography

Alessandro Balzaretti, Independent scholar

Alessandro Balzaretti (Milano, 1999) is a photographer and psychoanthropologist. He holds a B.Sc. in Political Economics from the University of Bologna and an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Parma. His articles, poems, and research have appeared in Altrove, Capitalism Nature Socialism, Ecozon@ - European Journal of Literature Culture and Environment, and Rivista di Psicologia Clinica. He collaborated on the exhibition Poetics of the Object by artist Simone Ricciardiello in Vicenza, and on the volume Dalle finestre di questa casa (Interlinea 2025), published in memory of Italian writer Sebastiano Vassalli.
