Author Biography

Ali Young

 Ali Young is a 3rd year PhD student at  the Centre for Leadership Studies at Exeter University in Devon, England. Her research focuses upon leadership, spirituality and embodiment.  Her interests include feminist spirituality, ecofeminism, environmental ethics, aesthetics and constructive postmodernism. She is currently conducting her empirical research in an entrepreneurial business devoted to environmental sustainability, social justice and spiritual fulfillment.  She is also a member of the Earthdreamers collective, an organization that seeks to blend social activism with spiritual practice and works privately as a shamanic practitioner.  She was assisted in this creation by her husband Keith, an environmental artist, who photographed the piece and her friend Rachael O'Neill, who did the body paint and  is also a graphic artist.
