Author Biography

Kate Judith, University of Southern Queensland

Dr Kate Judith is a Senior Lecturer and an Environmental Humanities scholar based at the University of Southern Queensland. Her work explores semiotic material approaches to post-anthropocentric engagement within multispecies environments. Her 2023 book, Exploring Interstitiality with Mangroves: Semiotic Materialism and the Environmental Humanities considered ways of understanding being in-between through thinking with the complex social-ecological processes of urban mangrove environments. She has a multidisciplinary background encompassing the environmental sciences, education, and humanities and a long-term interest in educational equity and access.
