Author Biography

Akshita Bhardwaj, English and Foreign Languages University

Akshita Bhardwaj is a PhD candidate in the Department of Indian and World Literatures at the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad (India). Grounded in Literary Animal Studies, her research attends to nonhuman animal presences in texts –both literary and non-literary –that escape the usual registers of anthropocentric meaning. Her other interest areas are Postcolonial animal studies, Indology studies and Spatial literary studies.
