Matthias Klestil, University of Klagenfurt

Matthias Klestil is Postdoc Assistant in American Studies at the University of Klagenfurt, Austria. He received his PhD from the University of Bayreuth, Germany, with a dissertation on the development of an environmental consciousness in nineteenth-century African American literature. His research interests include African American literature and culture, Ecocriticism, nineteenth-century U.S. literature, and literary and cultural theory.
