Jorge Fernandez Riechmann
Jorge Riechmann (1962) es profesor Titular de Filosofía Moral en la UAM y uno de los poetas más respetado por su compromiso con el movimiento ecologista. Es miembro del Consejo de Greenpeace España y está afiliado a Ecologistas en Acción. Compagina su labor como investigador y creador con el activismo ecologista. Riechmann, a lo largo de los años, ha ido construyendo una filosofía ecosocialista, resumida en los volúmenes: Un mundo vulnerable, Todos los animales somos hermanos y Gente que no quiere viajar a Marte. Su poesía más ecologista ha sido recogida en el libro: Con los ojos abiertos. Ecopoemas 1985-2006 (Tenerife, 2007). También destacan: Resistencia de materiales (Barcelona, 2006), Un zumbido cercano (Madrid, 2003), Conversaciones entre alquimistas (Barcelona, 2007) y Rengo Wrongo (Barcelona 2008).
Jorge Riechmann is Associate Professor of Moral Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Madrid and one of the most well known and respected poets committed to environmental movements. He is a member of the Greenpeace Board of Spain and member of the Spanish association “Ecologists in Action”. He combines his research and creative writing with ecological activism. Over the years, Reichmann has built an ecosocialist philosophy which can be found in his books, Un mundo vulnerable (A Vulnerable World), Todos los animales somos hermanos (All Animals are Brothers) and Gente que no quiere viajar a Marte ( People Don’t Want to Travel to Mars). Most of his ecological poetry can be found in the book Con los ojos abiertos. Ecopoemas 1985-2006 (Eyes Open. Ecopoems 1985-2006) (Tenerife, 2007). Also worth note are his books: Resistencia de materiales (Material Resistance) (Barcelona, 2006), Un zumbido cercano (A Near Buzzing) (Madrid, 2003), Conversaciones entre alquimistas (Conversations between Alchemists) (Barcelona, 2007) and Rengo Wrongo (Barcelona 2008).
