Author Biographies

Claudia Deetjen, University of Würzburg

Dr. Claudia Deetjen holds a doctoral degree in American literature from the University of Bayreuth. She has taught courses on American literature and on the didactics of Anglophone literatures at the universities of Bamberg, Bayreuth, Würzburg and Münster. Currently, she is working as a secondary school teacher and as an author of schoolbooks and completing a post-doctoral project on Anglophone refugee writing and transcultural and global learning at the University of Würzburg. Her main research interests include inter-/transcultural and global learning through literature, environmental education, media and film literacy.

Christian Ludwig, Freie Universität Berlin

Christian Ludwig is currently visiting professor at the Freie Universität Berlin. He researches and teaches in the field of ELT, particularly focusing on technology in English as a foreign language learning, environmental learning, and using literary texts in the digital classroom.
