Başak Ağın, Middle East Technical University

Başak Ağın, PhD, is lecturer at School of Foreign Languages, Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. Since the 2010s, Dr. Ağın has done extensive research on posthumanism and material ecocriticism and published several articles and book chapters in this array. Recently, she has been granted the postdoctoral fellowship of TUBITAK (Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council) and will be working on her project from September 2020 onwards at the University of Leeds, School of English. Her research interests involve new materialisms, ecomedia, and the posthumanist elements in science-fiction texts.
