Giulia Champion, University of Warwick

Giulia Champion is completing her doctoral thesis at the University of Warwick, UK. Her research investigates postcolonial and indigenous literatures and critical theory in original languages and aims to theorise ‘literary cannibalism’ as a mode of writing through the world ecology framework, historical materialism, and contemporary extractivism practices. She has co-edited and contributed to the an edited collection entitled Ethical Futures and Global Science Fiction, published in March 2020 with Palgrave Macmillan and is currently co-organising an interdisciplinary and international conference entitled “Blood on the Leaves/And Blood at the Roots”: Reconsidering Forms of Enslavement and Subjection across Disciplines, for which contribution are invited from within and without academia.”
