Catherine Greenwood, Independent artist

Catherine Greenwood holds a PhD in Gothic Studies/Creative Writing from the University of Sheffield.  She has published two poetry collections with Brick Books, The Pearl King and Other Poems and The Lost Letters, and her work has received recognitions such as Canada’s National Magazine Gold Award and a Kiriyama Prize Notable Book Citation. Recent poems inspired by Siberia’s permafrost unburials appear in The Gingko Prize Anthology, Route 57, Reliquiae,Gothic Natures Journal, Canadian Literature, The Goose, Polar Borealis, and Black Box Manifold. Catherine has lived in China and England, but home is Vancouver Island, Canada.
