Serenella Iovino has a PhD in Philosophy and is Professor of Comparative Literature in the Dipartimento di Lingue e Letterature Straniere e Culture Moderne of the Universita' di Torino. She is also Fellow of the Alexander-von-Humboldt Stiftung. From 2008 to 2010 she was the President of EASLCE and currently she is an honorary member of EASLCE Advisory Board. She is also a member of the Editorial Board of ISLE: Interdisciplinary Journal of Literature and Environment, of the Advisory Board of Ecozon@: European Journal of Literarure, Culture, and Environment, and of the Advisory Board of Green Letters: Studies in Ecocriticism.
