Author Biography

Dean Anthony Brink, National Chiao Tung University

Dean Anthony Brink (Ph.D., Chicago) is associate professor of literature at National Chiao Tung University (Hsinchu, Taiwan), author of Japanese Poetry and Its Publics: From Colonial Taiwan to Fukushima (2018) and director of Horizons of the Rising Sun: Postcolonial Nostalgia and Politics in the Taiwan Tanka Association Today (2017). Related forthcoming articles include “Nuclear Hegemony and Material Indices: The Satirical Verse Boom in Daily Newspapers after Fukushima,” Mosaic; and “Kitagawa Fuyuhiko’s Dada Poetry and the Derealization of Colonial Affects in Manchuria,” Postcolonial Studies. His current research focuses on experimental aesthetics and posthumanism in contemporary poet-performance artists in North America and Taiwan. He curated the international Blue Magpie Experimental Film Series/Taiwan at NCTU (Fall 2017).
