Biografía del autor/a

Anda Pleniceanu, Vilnius University

Anda Pleniceanu is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the (Post)Authoritarian Landscapes Research Centre, Vilnius University. She holds a PhD from the Centre for the Study of Theory and Criticism at Western University, Canada. Her current research investigates representations of environmental destruction in modern visual culture from the perspective of critical theory. More specifically, Dr Pleniceanu examines zones of polycrisis with a focus on extractivist practices and processes of extinction. She is also interested in how artistic engagement with past and present acts of environmental and cultural destruction can help prefigure alternative futures beyond passive acceptance or technocratic intervention.
