Résumé

Tracing connections between their relationship with coffee, the coffee industry, and their installation work, Salerno envisions a collective refusal to abandon those entangled in ableist ecologies- human, land, and the more-than-human. Their work semilla santa is an evolving site-specific and multi-sensory installation using chains of unroasted and roasted coffee beans reminiscent of prayer beads to open up space for critical thinking around our relationships to overconsumption, ritual, land and labor.
