Lisa FitzGerald, National University of Ireland, Galway

Lisa FitzGerald has recently submitted her PhD at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Her research examines environmental readings of theatrical landscapes. Drawing on ecocritical thinking and theories of space and place, her recent work contends that, firstly, theatrical landscapes represent conceptual ecological environments and, secondly, that these conceptual landscapes offer a way of bridging the nature/culture binary that separates the body from environment.
